Grace & Truth (a blog Link-up, Linky or Link Party) exists to point people to Jesus! We hope this link-up will be a source of encouragement each and every week. It’s run by 7 Christian women. If you’re a blogger our hope is that you’ll use this space as a way to meet new friends within the Christian blogging community. If you’re a reader our hope is that you’ll meet new bloggers that love Jesus just as much as you do! Most of all, we hope you’ll meet Jesus here.

At the beginning of each new link-up week (which happens to be Friday), the Hosts will post their favorite post of the previous week, to be “featured” (see below for directions on how to be featured!).

Welcome to Grace & Truth Week 16! May is one of my favorite months. It’s so beautiful and alive! My boys and I have heard and seen so many birds this past week. We love watching and listening to birds; such a wonder of the Lord’s creation!

If you’re new to Grace&Truth, welcome! If you’re a veteran, I’m so thankful you’re sticking with us! 🙂

This week, I chose Donna’s “Why We Don’t Go to Church,” I had you there, didn’t I? This is a post about Asperger’s and the Autism Spectrum in general. The post really resonated with me, because though we haven’t stopped attending church because of my kids’ spectrum issues, we sure have had trouble getting there each week. There are mornings that we can’t get out the door in time. There are mornings of itchiness, meltdowns, freak outs and tears. I really appreciate this post, because it sheds light on a serious issue. We personally have wonderful teachers at our church, who love and adore our boys, even through their issues. Not so many are as blessed as we are.

When I first started asking around in the Asperger’s and Autism community about the whole church issue, the stories I heard made me mad. By the time I’d gotten a few more responses, I was sad. Overwhelmingly sad. The stories did not stop coming. Donna Stone

You’ve gotta go read the rest of the post. If you have children on the spectrum, it will bless you. If you don’t have children on the spectrum, it will give you a new perspective into a huge issue.

Congratulations, Donna! I think you’ve been featured before; if so, congratulations again! 🙂

Grace&Truth-Rules2

1.) Follow your hosts via their blog and/or social media channels. This is not mandatory, but appreciated!

2.) Leave 1-2 of your most recent CHRISTIAN LIVING posts. Please do not link DIY, crafts, recipes, non-relevant reviews, etc. Links of this kind will be deleted. We also reserve the right to delete posts that don’t align with the theme of evangelical Christianity or that are deemed by the hostesses to be inappropriate.

3.) Visit 1-2 other links and leave a meaningful comment! We want to encourage community, so please don’t link and run!

4.) All links are randomly sorted – feel free to link as early or as late as you’d like. The visible playing field is even!

In order to be featured next week:

5.) Grab a button or link back to encourage new linkers. This is not mandatory to participate, but is required to be featured. Any place noticeable is fine – within your post or in your sidebar.

6.) Each host will choose one link to feature and promote via their social media channels next week.

7.) By linking up you agree to allow the hosts to use your featured post image if you are chosen as a feature for next week.

Jenn

I'm a Christian wife to an amazing man and a stay-at-home-teaching mom to four special & incredible boys (13.11, 12, 10, & 8). I’m messy and cluttered, but working on that (really, I am!). I’m a discouraged perfectionist and a classic procrastinator who probably has both ADD & Autism, so I tend to jump from topic to topic (and activity to activity) without notice. My Love Languages are Words of Affirmation and Physical Touch. I’m an INFP who enjoys friends but loves to be alone. I love getting and giving hugs, and encouragement is a Spiritual gift of mine that can too-easily be turned into the weapon of discouragement, if I’m not careful. I enjoy writing, singing, words, drawing, photography, digital creations and reading. Oh, and pizza, tacos and steak. Now I’m hungry. That reminds me; I eat gluten free and try to avoid white sugar and GMOs as much as possible.  Find me on Facebook (Writer page) (Fan page) (Community group), Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and Google+.
