first crawling, now teeth? i know he’s been working on some for months, but now i can finally see the faint white JUST under the skin, on the two bottom teeth! mom reminded me to take lots of toothless photos because soon he will have teeth!
he has been saying something that i assume means mama – it is like mmmmmmmm-ma. it’s so cute! he says it when i come to look at him over his crib, accompanied by a huge smile, he said it when i talked to him on the phone (from the other room – it was really funny, and yes, he knows the phone is for talking to people!) and he says it when he goes in for a nice snuggle. when i was in childcare, i called hugs “lovins” and i’m starting to teach him that. 🙂 for kisses, he’s still always open mouthed…lol…mama and papa don’t mind, but everyone else is getting tired of the slobber i think. HEHE!
i am still trying to teach him some basic baby signs. i do more, drink, water, all done/all gone (i do the same sign for these), yummies (making a y go up and down), ba-ba (making a b go up and down), yes, no. i think those should be enough for him to learn before i start new ones. i want him to grasp those and make them himself before i begin more. i may add one – sleepies. i’m still trying to figure out what easy sign i can make for that. i want it to be the same for naptime and for bedtime. or is that confusing?
wow the boy is changing so much i can’t even believe it. it’s just amazing all that happens in a few months, isn’t it?! he already seems like a toddler to me. he acts so grown up, and already tries to control things. i’m working on nipping that in the bud early though, so i hope he learns to be obedient. the kid knows he is loved though, there’s no doubt about that!!!!
congrats to my good friend from high school (who will never see this, but anywhoo! LOL) leesa who just gave birth to her first, a son, nathaniel! great name, great friend, and i can’t wait to meet the adorable munchkin! she told me she had similar problems that i did while giving birth to jeremiah – only nate was not only turned to the side, he was facing up! ouchie! they nearly had to do an emergency c-section because his heartrate was so irregular. but she got the burst of strength to push the guy out! i don’t even know how much he weighs or how long he is…hm will have to find out! i know she is a tall girl, about 5’10” or so, but hubby is about 5’81/2″ or 5’9″. so we’ll see!
going to make her a gift, last minute, because that’s just me…she loves curious george, so i’m going to make something with him, that says nate’s room on it. 😀
better get started on it!
hugs and blessings, and a big welcome to new friends who have never been here before! 😉 and welcome back to friends that i dorkily never sent the password to! oops!
God bless!

😀 And now you’re going to be off to the races, mama! 😉 He’s getting so big and reaching so many milestones all at once – I agree with your mom: take those toothless pictures while you can! Crawling – he must feel so proud of himself, and I know you two are, too! Best Wishes & happy house hunting! 🙂

  5. For sleepies, what about putting your hands up next to your face
For sleepies, what about putting your hands up next to your face – like in “prayer” postion, next to one cheek? Does that make any sense? LOL!
