well i’m 39 weeks today. nothing happened yesterday. my mom spent the night *just in case* anyway.
last night i had several pretty strong and painful contractions, but they weren’t close together or anything to even try to time them.
*what follows may be tmi for those who don’t want to hear about bodily functions.*
the diarrhea has stopped…i’m back to being mostly constipated. now though i am having HORRIBLE gas (toots). i didn’t throw up yesterday morning or this morning. does this mean things are reversing now?
the dr said that if i hadn’t had jeremiah by my next appt, he would strip my membranes. i’ve heard this is very painful. i had really hoped to have him this weekend…i know there’s still time, but i’m afraid i’m discouraged about it. i know it’s stupid, but i’m mad at my body!! i REALLY REALLY want my doula to be there…i don’t know how to explain how much pressure will be off my shoulders if i know she’ll be there.
remember that I WILL POST a ‘leaving for the hospital’ post, so you won’t be wondering WHAT IF about me. and jerry WILL be posting sometime after the baby is born (maybe a day or two after??).
my mom is still here so she is going to help take down the Christmas tree (can you believe it’s still up??! if you knew me, you would believe it LOL). mom says it’s a fire hazard now. LOL. hopefully if i do a little dance or something while taking ornaments down, i will get my body in gear…
anyway thanks all for the support and encouragement, and especially prayers. i REALLY need prayer for patience at the moment…
love and hugs!!

Jenn

    Jenn,

I hope Jeremiah comes today, so that he’ll share a birthday with my Jared!!!!

I posted a couple pictures from Amanda’s dedication on her 1st year page… Under “5th month”. I’ll be sending the link out soon.

While walking can be helpful, remember that in order to labor well and efficiently you need rest BEFORE it starts. Nap when you can, drink lots of fluids, and try the cat pose to help get him into a favorable position.

Jeremiah’s due date is the same day as my mom’s birthday, cool…
I hope that your labor goes smoothly. God Bless!

Hi there Jenn 🙂 I have been following your pregnancy and check in every day now to see if Jeremiah has arrived. I don’t think I have ever left a comment though. I’m shy. *LOL* Anyway, my OB stripped my membranes with my 2nd child, and it didn’t hurt at all. I didn’t even know he did it, until after the exam, when he told me. *LOL* Hope Jeremiah will make his grand entrance soon. Can’t wait to read about it! 🙂 Take care and I hope you have an easy labor and delivery. It’s not as bad as everyone makes it sound…at least it wasn’t for me 🙂

    Hey Peanut!
I have obviously never had my membranes stripped but I have been there when other women have had theirs done and they did not complain. Faith’s bio Mom was getting sick of being pregnant the last few weeks so she drank Black Cohosh Tea and Raspberry Leaf Tea and drank castor oil and within a day Faith came! Just letting you know!

In case you haven’t noticed my site is still down. *Sigh* I miss journaling.

Anyway, just wanted to say I drank some strong Raspberry leaf tea the weekend I ended up in the hospital because I couldn’t feel Sarrah move. Part of me wonders if some of that non-movement came from the tea. I know, I know.. hyper paranoid me.

I -think- I had my membranes stripped when I went in for induction. Can’t say for sure because the doc never said “Hey, I stripped your membranes.” I just know that some of those internals hurt worse than what was normal, and then afterwards my discharge would pick up or become pinkish. (TMI) I am praying for you. That little Jeremiah is as anxious to see you as you are to see him.

My family has this old wives tale circulating that if you eat chinese food, you will go into labor. It happened with a few of my aunts, so now it’s this joke in the family…but it couldn’t hurt to try. LOL:frog:
