yes, i am now 20weeks and 1day!!!! i am so excited! the baby is moving even more, and i can actually feel movement through my belly, so it won’t be long that jerry will be able to feel her too!! 🙂
um, to missy, i just wanted to say i hope we can get past this, since we both admitted we misunderstood things. i hope you’ll also understand that i have pregnancy hormones so i blow things out of proportion.

Note from Jerry:
I don’t usually reply to someone’s comments but I was frustrated by Missy’s. She makes it sound like we are blowing money left and right. Whether or not she meant it this way, that is the way it sounded to me and to Jenn. We are so very NOT rich. We have spent very little on our baby’s room. We had the crib and the bassinette for about two years now and both are used (actually the crib was new at a garage sale but we spent ONLY TEN DOLLARS on it). Jenn has been buying baby clothes (all ages of clothing) at garage sales since we have been married because she always knew that one day we would have children. And Jenn has bought only three new outfits. We don’t know the exact figure but we spent very little on the baby clothes we already have.

I also think Jenn already mentioned that we did not have to pay for any of the remodeling done to the house because it is NOT our house. We live with her Grandfather so we can take care of his daily needs. He was planning on painting and getting new carpet anyway because the house had had the same carpet and paint for over twenty years.

Anyway, the point is that most of what we have for our baby IS second hand and we haven’t spent very much money to get it. And, really, that isn’t anyone’s business how much we have spent, from $200 to $2000. I’m only writing this because I don’t want anyone to get the wrong impression of us. Yes we are on several registries and paypal but we are not trying to rake in gifts and money from people. If a friend or family member wants to give us something, that’s great. If not, that’s fine too. We have friends and family from all over the country (and out of the country too) and this site is mainly for them. If you are someone who doesn’t agree with this site, please don’t return.

By the way, Missy, we have a contact form you could have used to voice your concerns to us personally. We would have been happy to explain and discuss this personally if you’d given us the chance.

-Jerry

the headaches are still insane, and the gas bubbles come and go. but this pregnancy is the best thing to happen to me. 🙂 i am so thankful to be blessed with this miracle. 🙂
i thought i would share some songs (just lyrics) i wrote a while ago (pre-pregnancy), but i hope that they won’t be stolen!!! just to express how i’m feeling about my precious miracle. 🙂 i have more but there’s no way i’m posting them all – if you’d like to see all the ones i have (since i’m going to STILL make a lullaby album one of these days!!!) just use the contact form. 🙂

AS HANNAH WOULD SAY (meaning Hannah of the Bible, who was Samuel’s mother)
(C) Jennifer A Gigowski

Thank You, Lord, for this child from You
A perfect gift from Heaven, a blessed dream come true
You alone know how very long I prayed
For this precious miracle, and to You I give the praise

A life, a precious life, formed by Your hands
A heart, a tiny heart, made from pure love
You gave him to me, as I prayed that you would
Now I commit him unto You, Lord; once again, he’s in Your hands

I knew he’d bring me joy, but I never knew how much
I love to hear his voice, see his smile, feel his touch.
Never could I express how much he means to me
But I’ll spend my life being the mother you’ll have me be.

A life, a precious life, formed by Your hands
A heart, a tiny heart, made from pure love
You gave him to me, as I prayed that you would
Now I commit him unto You, Lord; once again, he’s in Your hands
Once again, he’s in Your hands

JALIA
(C) Jennifer & Jerry Gigowski
You’re beautiful, Jalia
You’re an angel here on earth
You’re lovable, Jalia
You were loved before your birth

Chorus:
You lift my heart into the sky
And never leave me wondering why
I love you, my Jalia

You’re adorable, Jalia
You’re cute from head to toe
You’re wonderful, Jalia
You’re the sweetest girl I know

You lift my heart into the sky
And never leave me wondering why
I love you, my Jalia

My heart is full of love for you
You’re my prayerful dream come true
I love to see your precious smile

(We are still going to add a few more verses I think)

JEREMIAH
(C) Jennifer Gigowski

Jeremiah, you were in the Father’s plans
You were made for me, fashioned by God’s hands.
Jeremiah, angels sang the day you came
Your gramma cried for joy when she saw your face.

You’re the apple of my eye
My little piece of heaven
Sometimes I just have to sigh
At the blessing I’ve been given
Jeremiah, you’ll never know just how loved you are.

Jeremiah, you know how long we prayed for you
So you know that you’re our little dream come true.
Jeremiah, you’re your papa’s pride and joy
And no matter what, you’ll always be my baby boy.

You’re the apple of my eye
My little piece of heaven
Sometimes I just have to sigh
At the blessing I’ve been given
Jeremiah, you’ll never know just how loved you are.

hi jenn! happy (late) 20th week! today i am exactly 24 weeks. in between the 20th week and now i have felt a lot of increased movement. mike has even been able to feel her kick/punch. she kicked my doctor at my last appt on thurs while he was trying to see what position she was in 🙂 she’s laying on her side, head to the left. just as i suspected! i guess us mommies sorta know, huh.

i hope you’re feeling well! i was feeling sick yesterday, but today i’m feeling just fine 🙂

those lyrics are so beautiful. what a nice thing to do for your unborn baby. and one day she’ll be able to read them and appreciate the love that went into writing that song.

    take care!

I am going to post nursery pics as soon as we get things further along. Right now it seems like we are in limbo. With upcoming guests I am reluctant to completely convert the second bedroom until everyone is gone.

Hopefully my crib bedding gets here this next week. REALLY excited about that. Might even be able to put the wall border up if that comes in as well. Woo hoo!

I also just wanted to thank you for being such an encouragement. Being preggo can be an emotional rollercoaster and it’s good to know I have a preggo buddy going through some of the same things. lol. Keep strong girl.

Well- Of couse I cant keep quiet! What you buy for your Child needs no justification!!!! You know your budget, and I have NEVER asked for a friends financial statements and budget before decideing on giving them a baby shower gift! What idiocy. Friends and family give a couple gifts for the baby to express thier joy at the birth, or upcoming event-not because theyve passed a secret test!!! We were broke with twins and all and guess what- I bought new cribs (shock!) we paid to repaint and put matching border up. We registered at Stores and Had 2 showers!!! We bought quiet a few new outfits and the layette items were almost all new!!! I wanted what I wanted for my precious once in a lifetime event!! I love you Jenn, and you precious baby and I say get what you and Jerry want to get and decide you can afford- Baby J will only come once! Who wants used, stained clothes for all the outfits- Please!! Not all areas have Great Goodwills ot thrift stores- I had to throw away so much that well meaning friends picked up for me cheap at thrift stores. This is YOUR adventure Jenn, forget about the people who cant be happy for you. By the way-Isnt there an ultrasound coming up soon?

    Hi Jenn!!!!

Glad to hear you’re feeling well. Can’t wait for your ultrasound, which I know is just around the corner!!!!! Yay for you!!!

    Hugs
    Julie

    P.S. 20 weeks is actually 4 1/2 months… You don’t hit 5 months until you are 22 weeks along….

Congratulations on reaching the halfway mark! Yeah, we’re sticking with an “a” name this time too… :-). I see you guys are going with “J”. Take care. All the best at the Ultrasound!

    Argh!

    I never said you overspent.

I am not being understood here.

That said, you suggested I not visit here, and I don’t plan to in the future.

    Best wishes,
    Missy

  9. I always feel silly when I post twice on an entry.
I always feel silly when I post twice on an entry. Especially when half the time my posts have nothing to do with the entries contents. lol. “Don’t mind me. I am pregnant.”

I wanted to tell you the other day when I was feeling all crampy and yucky it did end up being gas. You nailed it on the head. Nothing more grounding than a debilitating case of gastro-upset.

I am almost done with my new blog. I am soo excited about it. I haven’t been posting as much on my blogger site because I don’t want to create any more work for the transition. lol. THEN on Saturday my mom comes, followed by my Dad so I might be on hiatus for a bit.

Oh yeah, I hope I didn’t confuse you too much with the months vs. weeks thing. It still confuses me if I think about it too much. (guess I should have just sent you an email.) Have a good day!
